1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others help us understand how the site is used. We only set optional cookies if you agree.

2. Essential cookies

These are always on, because the site cannot work properly without them.

  • cc_consent: remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don't ask on every page. Kept for 180 days.
  • Cloudflare security cookies (such as __cf_bm and cf_clearance): set by Cloudflare, which hosts this site, to tell real visitors apart from bots. They may also be set when you complete a verification check on one of our forms.

3. Analytics cookies (optional)

If you click Accept, we load Google Analytics, which sets the cookies below to count visits and see which pages are useful. IP addresses are anonymised. If you click Reject, Google Analytics is never loaded.

  • _ga: distinguishes visitors. Kept for up to 2 years.
  • _ga_<ID>: keeps track of the current session. Kept for up to 2 years.

4. Cookieless traffic statistics

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without setting cookies or identifying individual visitors. Because it stores nothing in your browser, it runs regardless of your cookie choice.

5. Changing your choice

You can change your mind at any time. Rejecting after you have accepted deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
